2024 Summer Events

The Duluth Police Department continues to meet members of our community in their neighborhoods. Both sworn and professional staff members of DPD will be participating in four public events this summer, and you’re invited to attend any or all of them!

  • Operation K9 – Thursday, August 1 from 4:30 – 8 p.m. at Wessman Arena (2701 Catlin Ave, Superior, Wisconsin)
    • This is the 10th annual Operation K-9 event! It’s an opportunity for the public to meet K9’s from surrounding law enforcement agencies while enjoying family-friendly activities and K9 demonstrations.
  • A Field of Dreams Charity Softball Game - Thursday, August 1 at 6 p.m. at Wade Stadium (101 N 35th Ave W)
    • This is the 15th annual Northern Lights Foundation charity softball game between the Duluth Fire Department and the Duluth Police Department.
  • National Night Out – Tuesday, August 6 from 5 – 9 p.m. at participating neighborhood block parties (https://duluthmn.gov/police/community-policing/national-night-out/)
    • The Duluth Police Department strives to get an officer to every neighborhood block party registered in the City. This event introduces officers to our community members and establishes relationships outside of 911 calls. If you’d like to host a National Night Out event, you can do so by registering online on our website here: (https://duluthmn.gov/police/community-policing/national-night-out/)
  • Kids, Cops, and Cars – Wednesday, August 14 from 11 – 2 p.m. at Bayfront
    • This event showcases multiple law enforcement and first responder vehicles for the community to explore. It’s also an opportunity for the public to engage with officers and first responders.

We look forward to getting the chance to get to know the community we serve with.
