Third Street Reconditioning Project traffic changes expected on July 1

 

[DULUTH, MN] The City of Duluth is completing work on the upper side of Third Street on schedule and will begin work on the lower side on Monday, July 1. The left lane of Third Street will be closed between 12th Avenue E and Mesaba Avenue with traffic using the newly-paved right lane. Parking will not be allowed within the construction limits due to the narrow available lane. Avenues may be closed as required to safely complete the work within the intersections.

The remaining work on the Third Street Reconditioning Project consists of concrete pavement repairs, bituminous mill and overlay, ADA intersection improvements, and pavement markings.

Construction is anticipated to be complete by the end of September.
