Third Street Reconditioning Project traffic changes expected on August 26, 2024

 

[DULUTH, MN] The City of Duluth is paving the lower side of Third Street on schedule and will plan to reopen most avenues on Monday, August 26. The left lane of Third Street will remain closed between 12th Avenue E and Mesaba Avenue with traffic using the right lane while final utility work is completed.

Parking will not be allowed within the construction limits due to the narrow available lane. Avenues may be re-closed as conditions require to safely complete the work within the intersections. Following completion of the work on the lower side, traffic will be switched so that the remaining work can be completed on the upper side.

Construction is anticipated to be complete by the end of September.
