Kitchi Gammi Park/Brighton beach road construction work to necessitate traffic lane shift today

 

 

[DULUTH, MN] Beginning Monday, August 26, the City of Duluth will need to shift traffic lanes over to accommodate construction work on the northbound shoulder of Highway 61/London Road near the proposed new entrance to Kitchi Gammi Park/Brighton Beach. The area will be posted as No Parking before and after the work.

 

Drivers should be aware that traffic may slow near the approach to the entrance to the park because of the traffic lane shift. Drivers should be prepared to respond to abrupt traffic speed changes accordingly.

 

Northbound shoulder work is anticipated to take as long as a week, weather permitting. Drivers are encouraged to take alternate routes.  The City of Duluth thanks drivers and pedestrians in the area for their patience during the construction period.
