City crews are responding to a water main break on Grand Avenue near Central Avenue

 

[DULUTH, MN] City of Duluth utility operations crews are responding to a water main break near the intersection of Grand Avenue and Central Avenue. Water services affected by the break are still being assessed, but include many of the residences and some businesses in the immediate area.

 

A section of Grand Avenue between Central Avenue and Elinor Street are currently closed to traffic to allow for workers to access the break. Commuters should detour around the area. The duration of the repair is currently unknown. Crews are working to assess the situation, repair the break, and restore water service as quickly as possible. Information will be updated as it becomes available.

 

The City of Duluth would like to thank those affected for their patience during this time.
