City of Duluth to host September 11 Day of Remembrance Ceremony on Wednesday
Wednesday, September 11 | 8:15 AM | Duluth Entertainment and Convention Center—AMSOIL Arena | 350 Harbor Drive, Duluth, MN
[DULUTH, MN] City of Duluth officials will host a brief September 11 Day of Remembrance Ceremony at 8:15 AM on Wednesday, September 11 in the lobby of the AMSOIL Arena at the DECC. Officials, along with members of Duluth Police Department, Duluth Fire, and the 148th Fighter Wing, will deliver remarks, join in a collective moment of reflection, and participate in a gathering prayer to honor those lost on 9/11 and those whose lives were changed by the events.
Following the ceremony, members of the Duluth Fire Department, along with fire professionals from around the region, and invited guests will join in the ice bowl at the arena to participate in a memorial stair climb. The ceremony will be open to the public, but the stair climb will be invitation only. Members of the media wishing to interview stair climb participants should contact Public Information Officer Kelli Latuska in advance of the event for access.
