ORIGINAL:
On 11/16/24 at 0115hrs Duluth Officers responded to the area of the 5000 block of W Skyline Pkwy to investigate the report of a vehicle that had left the roadway and was upside down, on fire. Upon arrival, Officers located the vehicle approximately 30 feet off the roadway. Officers used extinguishers to put out a fire near the front half of the vehicle. The single adult male occupant of the vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene. Speed is believed to be a major factor in the inability to navigate a curve in the road causing the vehicle to leave the roadway and crash. The Minnesota State Patrol assisted with the investigation. As this is an on-going investigation, no further information is available at this time. The name of the driver is being withheld pending proper notification of family.
