Physical Altercation at Denfeld
At approximately 12 p.m., Tuesday, November 26, Duluth Police Denfeld School Resource Officer assisted staff members in separating a physical altercation that occurred between several students. As a result of this incident, one staff member and two police officers were assaulted as well as three other staff members suffered effects of a chemical irritant. During the altercation, the school went into a brief ‘hold’.
One student, a 14-year-old female, was lodged at the Arrowhead Juvenile Center for pending charges of probation violation, and more. This remains an active and ongoing investigation, and no further information will be released at this time.
