Fraudulent Skimming
The Duluth Police Department is aware of Members Cooperative Credit Union customers who are reporting debit card fraud with the use of a skimmer. If you are a victim of this fraud, you are encouraged to call Members Cooperative Credit Union at 800-296-8871 to report it. The bank will compile a list and give it to the Duluth Police Department to investigate further. The number of customers that have been affected and the total amount that has been loss is still being investigated. To prevent you from being a victim of a skimming scam, you’re encouraged to run your debit card as a credit card or tapping the card instead of swiping or inserting it.
