Structure fire on 4700 block of Oakley Street

[DULUTH, MN] Duluth Fire Department was dispatched at 12:53 pm to a call of a possible structure fire on the 4700 block of Oakley Street after a resident reported seeing flames and smoke at the one-story single-family home’s electrical panel. Lakeside crews were first on scene within minutes and were assisted by crews from UMD, Headquarters, and Woodland stations. Crews were able to locate the fire inside the wall and extinguish it before it reached the attic.

The resident was able to self-evacuate without incident. No injuries were reported. Damage is estimated at $15K. One resident is displaced by the fire’s damage. The fire is under investigation by the Duluth Fire Marshal’s office.
