City of Duluth to host open house to update public on Skyline Parkway safety improvements

 

 

[DULUTH, MN] City of Duluth Engineering will host an open house meeting to provide updates on planned safety improvements to Skyline Parkway. Meeting details are as follows:

 

Date:  Thursday, March 20, 2025

Time: 5:00 to 7:00 PM

Location: Lincoln Park Middle School, 3215 W. Third Street, Duluth, MN, 55806

 

Last fall, contractors were able to install guardrail at the intersections of Fifth Street and Sixth Street as a first step in making safety improvements discussed last summer. Improvements will include the changing of the road to a westbound one-way, pavement markings to create a space for non-motorized traffic, and changes to intersection control at both ends of Hank Jensen Drive. These improvements, as well as timeline and construction phases, will be discussed at the open house. Engineering staff will be on hand to answer questions, as well.
