Public Invited to Comment on the City of Duluth FY 2011 Action Plan for Housing and Community Development
The City of Duluth is seeking citizen comment on the Draft FY 2011 Action Plan for Housing and Community Development. This Plan includes the recommendations for the appropriation of approximately $4 million in funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. The Community Development Committee (CD Committee) plans and advises on the use of these funds, which will be presented to the Duluth City Council for approval. Also included in the Action Plan is an analysis of impediments to Fair Housing.
The 30-day public review period starts November 3, 2010 and ends December 3, 2010. This draft action plan and the funding recommendations address current community issues, especially those affecting persons with low and moderate incomes, persons of color, persons with disabilities, and the City's progress toward five-year community development goals are outlined in the Plan. Written comments received during this comment period will be compiled and shared at a Public Hearing with the CD Committee on December 7, 2010 in the Council Chambers - on the 3rd Floor of City Hall.
Copies of the Plan are available at the City of Duluth Community Development Division (Room 407 City Hall), the Duluth City Clerk's Office (Room 330 City Hall), and at all of the Duluth Public Library branches. The full document is also available online at: http://www.duluthmn.gov/community_development/index.cfm
