US Marshal’s Sex Offender Investigation Branch, Duluth Police Department, and St Louis County Sheriff’s Office Conduct Operation

The U.S. Marshal’s Sex Offender Investigation Branch, the Duluth Police Department, and St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office conducted an operation in Duluth from February 3 – March 21 to get non-compliant predatory offenders into compliance. There are 338 predatory offenders (PORs) in Duluth. During the operation, 104 PORs were contacted and 47 were found to be non-compliant.

14 offenders were arrested during the operation and on March 2, a ghost AR-15 that belonged to a violent offender, who has a history of violence towards law enforcement, was seized.

“The collaboration between every agency during this operation was crucial in getting these predatory offenders into compliance,” said Chief Mike Ceynowa. “We look forward to continuing our partnership in holding these offenders accountable in our community.”
