Aerial Lift Bridge lakeside pedestrian walkway closed to public due to falling snow and ice

[DULUTH, MN] The City of Duluth would like to warn the public of hazardous falling snow and ice on the Aerial Lift Bridge’s pedestrian walkways following yesterday’s snowstorm. Snow and ice are falling from the upper sections of the bridge, creating a safety hazard on the open walkways.

Out of an abundance of caution, the lakeside pedestrian walkway is closed to foot traffic today, but the bayside walkway will remain open for pedestrians. Pedestrians should be vigilant, use caution, and be aware that snow and ice may fall onto the walkway without notice.
