Contractor work to close a portion of the 300 block of West Michigan Street on Thursday, April 17

[DULUTH, MN] Contractors will close a portion of the 300 block of West Michigan Street beginning Thursday, April 17, 2025. This closure will be adjacent to the intersection with Fourth Avenue W and a crane will be positioned in the street. This closure is anticipated to occur during daytime working hours and Michigan Street should reopen to normal traffic upon or around the evening rush hour.

Sidewalks may be temporarily closed for pedestrian movements, but opposite sides should still be available. Parking spaces just to the west of Fourth Avenue W and along the 300 block of West Michigan Street may be unavailable during this time.

A detour (map here) will be posted instructing traffic to utilize Fourth Avenue West to Superior Street, Superior Street to Third Avenue West, Third Avenue West back to Michigan Street. Access to the Medical Arts Building parking ramp will be available from Third Avenue W, utilizing temporary two-way traffic.

Traffic will be impacted and drivers should expect delays in the area.
