Structure Fire on 700 block of W. Third Street
[DULUTH, MN] Duluth Fire Department responded at 9:57 pm yesterday evening, May 4, to a report of a structure fire on the 700 block of W Third Street. Crews arrived to find fire visible on the porch of a duplex. Tenants were attempting to extinguish the fire with a garden hose. Crews from downtown and Lincoln Park stations knocked the fire down.
No injuries were reported in the incident. Two residents from one unit were displaced and are being assisted by the American Red Cross. Damage to the structure is estimated at $15K, with a small amount of damage to the interior wall of one unit, and most damage to the exterior wall. The incident is under investigation by the Duluth Fire Marshal.
