Duluth Police Investigations Division Arrest Three Individuals

Earlier this month, Duluth Police took several calls of brass railings and fittings being stolen from the Skywalk System valuing over $5,000. On Tuesday, May 13, Officers saw two suspected individuals utilizing tools to remove the items. Today, Thursday, May 15, Duluth Police Property and Financial Crimes Unit and Patrol Group C located the two suspected individuals, identified as 32-year-old Nicholas Martin and 24-year-old Laveena Martinson, and arrested them for pending charges of Felony Theft and Possession of Burglary Tools. A third individual, 43-year-old Waylon Lanham was also arrested and lodged at the County Jail for pending charges of Aiding and Felony Theft. Good work to our investigations division for thoroughly investigating this case, holding these individuals accountable, and continuing to keep Downtown Duluth safe.
