Temporary road closure on W Third Street begins June 16

 

 

[DULUTH, MN] The City of Duluth will close a portion of W Third Street on Monday, June 16 to allow contractors to safely complete restoration work as a part of the City’s ongoing efforts to remove lead from private water service lines. A detour will be signed and is expected to be in place until June 18. The closure will remain in place until the work is completed. The detour route is described as follows:

 

  • Westbound traffic: W Third Street to 27th Avenue West > 27th Avenue West to Superior Street > Superior Street to Carlton Street > Carlton Street to Grand Avenue/Third Street
  • Eastbound traffic: Grand Avenue/W Third Street to Carlton Street > Carlton Street to Superior Street > Superior Street to 27th Avenue West > 27th Avenue West to Third Street

 

Drivers should consider alternate routes to their destinations during the week, as traffic may be delayed.
