Lockdown at Denfeld High School

Denfeld’s School Resource Officer was notified of a student who had a felony warrant out for their arrest. The felony warrant was for 2nd Degree Assault and Possession of a Dangerous Weapon. The individual was arrested without incident and transported to Arrowhead Juvenile Center.
The decision to place Denfeld High School in lockdown was made jointly by the Denfeld High School administration and the Duluth Police Department’s School Resource Officer. Given the circumstances surrounding the warrant and other factors, the decision to go into lockdown was made out of an abundance of caution to ensure the safety of students and staff.
