6 p.m.9/11 Updated Release:
The Duluth Police Department has arrested 35-year-old Alexanader Keller for preliminary charges of Criminal Vehicular Operation and he is lodged at the Douglas County Jail. Our thoughts and prayers go out to 37-year-old Mathias Turbes and his family and friends as they are grieving his loss. This remains an active and ongoing investigation.
3:30 p.m. 9/11 Updated Release:
A person of interest has been detained for the hit and run incident. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the 37-year-old male and his loved ones. The victim’s name won’t be released until next of kin is notified. This incident remains an active and ongoing investigation and no further information will be provided at this time.
12 p.m. 9/11 Original Release:
At approximately 6:30 a.m., Thursday, September 11, Duluth Police responded to a report of an adult male that was located deceased on the roadway on 101st Avenue West. Preliminary investigation shows the individual may have been hit by a vehicle. This remains an active and ongoing investigation. Once more information becomes available, we’ll be sure to share it with the public.
