Fountain of the Wind water feature in Canal Park to undergo maintenance
[DULUTH, MN] City of Duluth Property and Facilities Maintenance staff will drain the Fountain of the Wind, otherwise known as the fish fountain, located at the corner of Buchanan Street and Canal Park Drive on Friday, September 19 to allow for maintenance on the fountain and some of the sculptures in the feature.
The fountain will remain closed for the winter season.
The Fountain of the Wind, designed by artist Douglas Freeman, was first erected in 1993 through a commission by the Duluth Public Arts Commission, the City of Duluth, and Visit Duluth as a part of the Canal Park Public Arts Project.
