Road closure at 300 block of E Superior Street beginning October 17, 2025

 

 

[DULUTH, MN] The City of Duluth will close the 300 block of E Superior Street beginning Friday, October 17 to allow contractors to remove the tower crane at 333 E Superior Street.

 

The road is expected to reopen to normal traffic on Monday, October 20. The entire section of road will be closed, although pedestrians will be permitted to use the lake side sidewalk and can still access the Sheraton entrance. A detour will be posted.

 

In addition to this closure, Michigan Street will be closed to through traffic beyond Third Avenue E, as it outlets within the closure area. Drivers are advised to consider alternative routes during this closure.

 

 

The detour routes are as follows:

 

 

Eastbound: Superior Street > Third Avenue E > First Street > Fourth Avenue E > Superior Street

 

Westbound: Superior Street > Fourth Avenue E > First Street > Third Avenue E > Superior Street
