East Superior Street mill and overlay project to begin tomorrow

 

 

[DULUTH, MN] The City of Duluth's contractor, Ulland Brothers Construction, Inc.,  will begin work on a mill and overlay project tomorrow, October 23, 2025 on East Superior Street between 33rd and 45th Avenues E.

 

The majority of the work on this project will be completed under traffic, but intermittent closures to side streets and individual driveways will occur as the work is being performed on each block.

 

East Superior Street between 40th and 45th Avenues E will be closed to through traffic to allow for full-depth pavement patches, and traffic will be detoured to London Road for approximately one week. The tentative start date for this detour is October 27, and the detour will be posted.

 

No Parking signage will be posted as necessary. Vehicles left on a no-parked segment of street will be towed at the owner’s expense.

 

This project is expected to be substantially complete and open to all traffic in mid-November.
