City of Duluth welcomes the public to City Hall-oween event on Thursday, October 30
[DULUTH, MN] Duluth City Hall will again be open for trick-or-treaters for its City Hall-oween event Thursday, October 30 from 3:00 to 4:00 pm. City Hall-oween will be a safe place for children to come in costume and trick-or-treat from City Hall offices, as well as Duluth Police and Fire Departments.
Here are some guidelines for Halloween costumes in City Hall (to make sure to abide by the City Hall use policy):
- No masks or items that can hide your face/identity (surgical masks used for health purposes are fine).
- No violent or offensive costumes.
- No gang references or horror characters.
- No weapons.
- No costumes that demean race, religion, nationality, gender, or handicap conditions.
City Hall-oween began in 2019 as a way to welcome City staff to participate in decorating their workspaces at City Hall, and to invite their families, as well as families from the public, to trick-or-treat at City Hall while hopefully encouraging access to your local government at an early age.
