Physical Altercation at Super One

At approximately 6 p.m., Monday, November 17, Duluth Police responded to a report of a fight at Super One (5300 Bristol Street). Upon arrival, no one was actively fighting, and Super One’s Loss Prevention Officer had two individuals detained. Initial information shows a 15-year-old male stole an item and left the store with 22-year-old Brent Edwards. The Loss Prevention Officer attempted to confront the individuals, which caused a physical altercation to occur. During the physical altercation, Edwards threatened the Loss Prevention Officer with a bat and the Loss Prevention Officer deployed a chemical irritant. The parties involved sustained minor injuries during the altercation.
Edwards was lodged at the St. Louis County Jail for 2nd Degree Assault, and the 15-year-old male was issued a citation for shoplifting and 5th Degree Assault.
