Structure fire on 400 block of E Eighth Street

 

 

[DULUTH, MN] Duluth Fire Department responded at 5:08 am Wednesday, November 19, 2025 to a report of a possible structure fire in the alley of the 400 block of E Eighth Street. Crews arrived and located a recreational vehicle (RV) fully involved in fire. The fire spread to power lines nearby and caused some exterior damage to a nearby structure.

 

One person was sleeping inside the RV at the time and was transported to an area hospital for evaluation for smoke inhalation. That person was displaced and is being assisted by the American Red Cross. No other injuries were reported.

 

Damage to the RV and nearby structure is under $15K. The incident is under investigation by the Duluth Fire Marshal’s office. The cause is not thought to be suspicious at this time.
