City of Duluth provides update on snow operations

Wednesday, November 26, 2025 | 5:30 PM

[DULUTH, MN] City of Duluth Street Maintenance crews spent the day cleaning snow drifts and ice from roadways and will be leaving shift soon to take a much deserved rest. Priority 1 roadways are plowed, and priority 2 and 3 roadways are nearly complete. Crews will be back on the roads at 2:00 AM to finish up the remaining roads and to clean up any snow that drifted into plowed roadways.

While the snowstorm is out of the region, driving conditions may still be hazardous in areas. Remember to take it slow on snow and ice and leave lots of extra room between you and the drivers around you.

Illegally parked cars continue to be an issue that hampers plowing progress, so please be mindful of parking regulations, or risk your vehicle being ticketed and/or towed. Alternate side parking is on the odd side of the street this week.

Please remember that snow and ice removal from pedestrian sidewalks is the responsibility of those properties abutting the sidewalks and must be removed from pedestrian walkways within 24 hours following the end of a snow event. If your neighbors appear to need assistance removing snow from their sidewalks, please consider lending a hand if you are able. Pedestrians rely on our sidewalks to safely navigate in their daily commutes.

The City thanks residents for their patience and understanding as crews work to maintain roads during and after snow events. Please stay safe while traveling.
