City of Duluth to close the 2200 block of W Michigan Street on Tuesday, January 6, 2026

 

[DULUTH, MN] The City of Duluth will close the 2200 block of W Michigan Street on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 to allow crews to safely perform an emergency repair to utilities in the area. The work is expected to last through the day, and traffic will detour around the area.

 

The detour routes are as follows:

 

 

Eastbound: Michigan Street > 24th Avenue W > Superior Street > 22nd Avenue W > Michigan Street

Westbound: Michigan Street > 22nd Avenue W > Superior Street > 24th Avenue W > Michigan Street

 

Drivers are advised to seek alternative routes when possible. Please review this closure at the City’s Road Closure Map (https://duluthmn.gov/engineering/maps/).
