Duluth Taskforce will Present Options to Improve Community Police Accountability

[Duluth, MN] - The Duluth Task Force for Improved Community Police Accountability (DTFICPA) will be holding a Report Back Session on Monday, December 6, 2010 from 6:30 - 8:00 pm at the Central Hillside Community Center.  The Taskforce will present a draft proposal for a civilian review process.  This Report Back Session is a step in an ongoing effort to strengthen trust and respect between the Duluth Police Department and all aspects of the Duluth community.

The Taskforce initiated a community assessment earlier this year with the help of a consultant,  Professor Eileen Luna-Firebaugh.  The results have been compiled into a draft proposal by the Taskforce and includes recommendations from Professor Luna-Firebaugh.

The community is invited to come hear the Task Force’s proposal and provide feedback. Refreshments will be served.
