Duluth State of the City scheduled for March 7, 2011

 
 

The annual State of the City address will be made by Mayor Don Ness in early spring rather than winter. Mayor Ness expressed interest in moving the event to provide an opportunity for city departments to complete projects and present full reports and updates to the public. It also means participants can avoid frigid temperatures during what is typically one of the coldest weeks in winter.     

 

This time period for the State of City is not unprecedented as the Mayor’s of Minneapolis and St. Paul make their addresses in March and April, respectively.      

 

The Mayor will address the public from the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center on March 7, 2011 at 7:00 pm. Additional details will be forthcoming.
