[Duluth, MN] - Mayor Don Ness issued the following statement following the announcement of Coach Bob Nielson, of the UMD Bulldogs, as the Liberty Mutual NCAA Division II Coach of the Year.
“I am ecstatic and extremely proud of Coach Nielson! This award is well deserved for a man who has poured his heart and soul into raising the bar for college football and raising the spirits of every player. Coach Nielson, you are a class act and we honor you and your contributions to the University and our community,” said Mayor Don Ness.
