City to start snow removal in Lincoln Park


The City of Duluth street maintenance crews have been successful in clearing the snow banks along downtown Duluth streets to provide improved access to local businesses and street parking. The crews will be finishing their work in downtown and relocating their efforts to Lincoln Park starting Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at 2:00 AM. Crews will take a couple of days to clear snow on West Superior Street between Garfield Avenue and 21st Ave West, and from West Michigan Street up to to West 1st Street and will eventually head further west.


The public is advised to remove their vehicles from Lincoln Park streets by Wednesday morning January 12, 2011, at 2:00 AM. Cars obstructing snow removal efforts will be ticketed.
