Water main work planned for Tuesday, January 25
(affects Duluth Heights, Upper Piedmont, Mall, Airport area)
[Duluth, MN] - On Tuesday, January 25, 2011 from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. a contractor working for the City of Duluth will be making a water main connection to the Arlington Reservoir as part of the Highland Pump Station Improvement project. This project is part of the City of Duluth’s broader effort to improve water delivery to meet current and future demands for the Highland and Woodland water zones.
The project affects Duluth Heights, Upper Piedmont, Kenwood, the Mall area and the Duluth International Airport. As a result of this upgrade, customers in these areas may experience lower water pressure. Customers are requested to limit their water usage during this time.
The City appreciates the cooperation and patience of the public as we work to improve the water delivery system. The Highland Pump Station project is scheduled for completion in summer 2011 and consists of renovations to the existing building, process piping, electrical and architectural items and computer equipment upgrades.
