The 38th Duluth D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) Graduation will take place at 6:00pm Tuesday, January 25th 2011, at the DECC Auditorium.  More than 400 fifth and sixth grade students from Duluth Public, Parochial and Edison schools will be graduating from the D.A.R.E. program.

 

Honored guests at the graduation include City Council President Sharla Gardner, Duluth Deputy Police Chief Robin Roeser, ISD 709 Lincoln Park School Principal Cher Obst and Holy Rosary School Principal Jesse Murray.

 

Some of the topics covered in the D.A.R.E. Program include; the harmful effects of illegal drugs, drug resistance techniques, peer pressure, how to deal with and report bullying; and internet safety.
